Mark your calendars for August 16-18, 2017, in Washington DC, and watch this site for ongoing updates on speakers, employer panels, workshops, hotel accommodations, and registration information for this year’s conference.

The four keynote speakers for this year’s conference are: Gail Harris, retired Navy Captain, the first woman in naval history to serve as an Intelligence Officer in a Navy aviation squadron and formerly the highest ranking African American woman in the Navy; Courtney Lynch, one of the few female Captains in the US Marine Corps, and a best-selling author; Brad Snyder, former Navy Lieutenant who lost his eyesight to an improvised explosive device, and is now a Paralympic gold-medalist in swimming; Dr. Richard Pimentel, a Vietnam Disabled Veteran, who is a nationally renowned expert on disability management, job recruitment, job retention, the Americans with Disabilities Act and attitude change.

Inspirational messages from current and former military leaders were just some of the highlights from the 2016 NASWA Veterans Conference! Over 45 states were represented last year, with a total of over 370 attendees, including staff from US Department of Labor, Veterans Affairs, and numerous employers and Federal contractors.
